Our teeth can discolor through the years as our enamel dehydrates and wears down. The wearing down of enamel allows dentin, a yellow color substance that makes the core of our teeth, to show through. This is what gives our teeth a yellowish tint. Teeth whitening helps restore teeth to a shiny white color through the use of a bleaching agent.

Teeth whitening method

Dr. Cooper promotes the Life-Like teeth whitening system for our patients. This method  includes three short appointments.At the first appointment, an impression of your teeth is taken which is utilized to make bleaching trays custom to your dentition.  At the second appointment you  receive your bleaching trays. Our assistants will give you directions on how to use the whitening gel and place your trays. A current shade of your teeth will be taken. In the convenience of your home you will bleach twice a day for 20-30 minutes each time. Quite soon  you will  be on your way to bright, white teeth!  The third appointment will take place 2-3 weeks later.  A shade comparison will be taken to see how white your teeth have become and to answer any questions you may have.   Once you have reached your desired whiteness you have your trays to use whenever you wish to whiten and brighten for those special occasions.
